Once a
network has been designed and installed it needs to be
monitored regularly in order to: -
1.
Optimize the traffic flow
2. Check there are no
conflicts in the addressing
3. Monitor broadcast
traffic
4. Ensure there are no
intruders or security
breaches on the network
5. Ensure that network
faults are detected as early as possible
In addition we provide quarterly
preventative maintenance visits to check the physical
condition of the network and to discuss any problems with
users.
The network
can be monitored by on site personnel, by dial-up connection
(ISDN2), by access through a VPN or via NHS
net.
